ALSAGER WELCOME POPULAR FIGURES
ALSAGER Town have welcomed popular figures Kevin Street and Dan Skelton to a new era at Wood Park!
Streety, a former Bullets player briefly from 2014-2016 made over 200 professional appearances as a player with clubs such as Crewe Alex, Bristol Rovers and Shrewsbury Town before entering the non-league game enjoying spells with Stafford Rangers, Altrincham, Nantwich Town and Kidsgrove Athletic. He made his last playing appearance last year at the age of 46 with Whitchurch Alport where he was part of the coaching team for the previou six years. With management roles at Stafford Rangers and Nantwich Town higher up the pyramid its fair to say Streety brings a wealth of experience, a local legend of the game and we are pleased to have him back at the Bullets.
Joining him in the coaching staff is another local figure in Skelts. Still only 34 years old, he has enjoyed a successful career in non-league football with local clubs such as Newcastle Town, Kidsgrove Athletic and Whitchurch Alport. He unfortunately suffered a knee injury last year whilst with Redgate Clayton and then following a horrific accident at work, has been on the road to recovery over the past eight months. A hugely popular and likable character, Skelts will be a massive asset around the club as we look to build our new era and utilise the experience of the staff which is something Skelts has in abundance, and who knows once fully recovered maybe the odd playing appearance too!
Both will begin work immediately in helping with the pre-season schedule and supporting the management team for 2024-25.
