BUCKLEY WINS RISING STAR AWARD

It was an evening to celebrate for the Club at the Northern Premier League Awards night in Blackpool, of the nineteen awards presented four were received by Leek Town, the most by any Club in the entire league of 88 Clubs.

Several players were nominated in the NPL West Division team of the year including Olly Harrison, Louis Keenan, Rob Stevenson & Dan Trickett-Smith and Rob Stevenson also won the NPL West Player of the Division, with Olly Harrison being included in the three players shortlist.

In addition Rob Stevenson was also awarded the Golden Boot for the NPL West recognition for his 21 goals scored this season.

Several young players across the four divisions were recognised as regional winners and the media player of the year created a shortlist for the prestigious Rising Star Award. On the night the Club were delighted to hear that the award had gone to Liam Buckley beating young players from all the other divisions - even better news for the Club was that Liam had extended his contract to cover the next 2 seasons.

The last award the Club received was that of NPL West Champions for 2023/24 and this was greatly received by Jon Eeles (Chairman), Paul Bateman (Vice-Chair), Tracy Reynolds (Director), Tom Eeles (Secretary), Josh Brehaut (Manager) and Liam Buckley (Rising Star).
