NEWCASTLE PROGRESS IN EMIRATES FA CUP

NEWCASTLE Town are through to the first qualifying round of the Emirates F.A. Cup after beating Westfields 2-0 in their Preliminary Round Replay at the Red Industries Stadium last night (Tuesday).

Thomas Jones netted for Newcastle on 43 minutes with Jake Avery sealing victory on 65 minutes with Town's second.

Newcastle will face a home tie against Long Eaton.
