POTTERS IN CARABAO CUP ACTION

STOKE City are in Carabao Cup second round action as they travel to thew Riverside Stadium to face Middlesbrough on Tuesday night.

While the Potters lost 2-1 to West Brom on Saturday Middlesbrough drew 2-2 with Portsmouth.

Middlesbrough have lost just once in then outings at the Riverside while the Potters have lost twice on their travels in their last nine matches including pre-season matches.

Both sides will be looking to progress in the competition and are expected to field strong sides as Middlesbrough are tenth in the Championship and Stoke in seventeenth, but with only one point difference between the two sides there is everything to play for and Stoke did win 2-0 in the league at the venue last season.

Kick-off is at 7.15pm.
