Staffordshire Wildlife Trust is looking for volunteers for Wetley Moor Common Nature Reserve

The trust is looking for volunteers to help maintain and preserve the natural habitats of this cherished local moorland. They are inviting members of the community to get stuck-in with weekly practical conservation tasks that will benefit the reserve every Wednesday from 10am to 2.30pm.

Volunteers will work as part of the conservation team to make a positive impact to local wild spaces on the reserve and help Staffordshire Wildlife Trust in reaching their goal of preserving 30% of land for nature by 2030.

Interested individuals can apply to get involved by visiting the trust’s website at www.staffs-wildlife.org.uk/volunteering-opportunities/wetley-moor-common-practical-conservation-volunteer

Senior Reserves Officer, Mark Preece says:

“Wetley Moor is a unique and valuable landscape, home to a wide variety of wildlife, including rare birds, plants, and insects. Practical conservation volunteers play a crucial role in maintaining trails, managing invasive species, and participating in conservation projects that ensure the reserve remains a thriving ecosystem for future generations. No prior experience is necessary, and the trust invites anyone interested to apply.”
