TOWN GETS READY TO PARTY WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM JCB

CHEADLE Town Council’s showcase Party in the Park community event is set to wow the crowds this summer with a world-class cycling stunt display team - thanks to support from JCB.

The star arena event at Cheadle Recreation Ground, Tean Road will feature internationally renowned mountain bike stunt crew M.A.D Team after JCB pledged £1,600 of funding.

The free-to-enter fun day on Sunday August 6th is the highlight of the Town Council’s community calendar and thousands of local families are expected to flock to the event which will feature a fun-packed main arena programme.

The top of the bill M.A.D Team are the UK’s most prestigious stunt, trick and skills team -featuring former World and British champion riders who perform gravity-defying flips, spins, hops, and balancing tricks.

Cheadle Town Councillor Paulette Upton explained: “The Party in the Park is a fantastic event that brings thousands of people together for a day of free entertainment and fun. Putting events like this on free of charge for the community can only happen with the support of businesses like JCB; the company’s financial backing makes a massive difference and it means we can bring top class entertainment to the town.”

The Party in the Park runs from 1-6pm on Sunday August 6th and features live entertainment, a dog show, alpaca display, bouncy castle, side shows and host of food and drink stalls.
